CoreWeave Surpasses Q3 Revenue Expectations Amid AI Computing Surge

CoreWeave, a leading AI cloud infrastructure provider, reported third-quarter revenue of $1.36 billion, exceeding analyst projections of $1.29 billion. This growth is driven by increased demand for AI computing resources, with significant contracts secured from major tech companies.

Major Contracts Fuel Growth

In September 2025, CoreWeave entered into a $14.2 billion agreement with Meta Platforms to supply AI infrastructure. Additionally, the company expanded its partnership with OpenAI, bringing the total contract value to over $22 billion. These deals underscore the escalating need for robust AI computing capabilities.

Financial Performance and Market Response

Despite the revenue surge, CoreWeave’s stock experienced a slight decline of less than 1% in after-hours trading. Since its initial public offering in March 2025 at $40 per share, the stock has more than doubled, valuing the company at over $50 billion. The third-quarter loss narrowed to 22 cents per share from $1.82 a year earlier, with an adjusted profit of $838.1 million surpassing expectations.

Strategic Investments and Expansion

CoreWeave is investing $6 billion in a new AI-focused data center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The facility will initially offer 100 megawatts of capacity, with potential expansion to 300 megawatts, aiming to bolster U.S. competitiveness in AI infrastructure.

Acquisitions and Partnerships

In March 2025, CoreWeave acquired AI platform developer Weights & Biases for approximately $1.7 billion, enhancing its AI cloud platform capabilities. The company also secured a $1.17 billion agreement with Vast Data to serve as its primary data platform, supporting GPU-powered cloud services for AI model training and deployment.

Challenges and Future Outlook

In October 2025, Core Scientific terminated a $9 billion merger agreement with CoreWeave, presenting a setback in the company’s expansion plans. Nevertheless, CoreWeave continues to pursue growth opportunities, including entering the U.S. federal market to provide secure AI cloud services to government agencies and the defense sector.
