Israeli Forces Kill Two Palestinian Teenagers in Occupied West Bank
On December 2, 2025, Israeli forces shot and killed two Palestinian teenagers in separate incidents in the occupied West Bank, escalating tensions in the region.
Incident in Al-Khader
In the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, 15-year-old Ahmad Ali Asaad Ashira al-Salah and 17-year-old Muhammad Khaled Alian Issa were fatally shot by Israeli forces during a pre-dawn raid. The Israeli military stated that the operation targeted individuals suspected of planning attacks. The bodies of both teenagers are currently being withheld by Israeli authorities.
Incident Near Umm Safa
North of Ramallah, near the village of Umm Safa, 18-year-old Muhammad Asmar was killed by Israeli forces. According to local reports, Asmar was shot after allegedly attempting to stab soldiers near a settlement. The Israeli military confirmed the incident, stating that two soldiers sustained minor injuries. Asmar was held by soldiers and left to bleed for hours before succumbing to his wounds.
Reactions and Ongoing Tensions
Hamas praised the stabbing attempt as a “heroic operation,” describing it as a natural response to Israeli actions in the occupied territories. The group emphasized that military operations, daily killings, arrests, and field executions would not break the will of the Palestinian people.
These incidents occur amid a backdrop of increased Israeli military operations in the West Bank, including raids near hospitals in Hebron and demolitions in al-Walaja village, west of Bethlehem. The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant casualties and heightened tensions in the region.
