Texas Culinary Scene Shines with New Michelin Stars in 2025

On October 28, 2025, the Michelin Guide unveiled its latest selections for Texas at a ceremony held at Houston’s Wortham Theater Center. This year’s edition introduced three new one-Michelin-starred restaurants, elevating the state’s total to 18 starred establishments.

Newly Starred Restaurants

Dallas’s Mamani, under the leadership of Chef Christophe De Lellis, earned its first Michelin star. The restaurant offers a bistronomie-style menu featuring elevated simple plates, including Dover sole with brown butter and veal “Cordon Bleu” accompanied by Robuchon’s signature pommes purée.

In San Antonio, Isidore received its inaugural star, while Nicosi was promoted to one-Michelin-star status, reflecting the city’s growing prominence in the culinary landscape.

Green Star Distinctions

Two additional restaurants were honored with the Michelin Green Star for their commitment to sustainable gastronomy, bringing the total number of Green Star establishments in Texas to four.

Houston’s Culinary Recognition

All six Houston-area restaurants that received one star in the previous year maintained their status. These include BCN Taste & Tradition, CorkScrew BBQ, Le Jardinier, March, Musaafer, and Tatemo. Notably, no new Houston restaurants were awarded a star this year.

Overall Selection

The 2025 Michelin Guide Texas edition encompasses 140 restaurants across 33 cuisine types, reflecting the state’s diverse and dynamic food scene. The selection includes eight new Bib Gourmand restaurants and 16 Recommended eateries, highlighting the depth of culinary talent throughout Texas.

Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guide, praised the state’s culinary community, stating, “This year’s Texas selection emphasizes the many talents across your communities who continue to rise above with culinary innovation and passion that is palpable.”
